RRHS BAND and ACAPPELLA CHOIR

Small, but spirited: IN PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE!

Grades, lesson plans and event information available to students and parents via Edline Edline is integrated with the Schoolmasterand gradebook programs, and a quick easy way for my classes (and all RRHS teachers) to have a useful web presence. It is aslo the reason that this web page is less detailed, and less frequently updated, than other similar pages I have had at previous schools.

Talk about music on the WEB BOARD

LINKS:

  • Band/Choir handbook (for now go to ed-line for this--or refer to the copy I gave you!)
  • Repertoire Study what we are working on. Check back for updates!
  • Music Theory I am very impressed with this site! Work your way through all the modules.
  • Choral Public Domain Library A great source for music. The Project Gutenberg of choir!
  • Good-Ear.com: Work your ears, baby. Reinforce what we are talking about in class.
  • Big Ears (the original online ear trainer?)
  • Choir-singer.com: some pretty good advice.
  • The History of Music in less than 5000 words. We had to leave some out.
  • LISTEN: There are more and more great mp3, and real audio type clips on the web relevent to our study. Here is a good place to get started: The Singing Sergeants make an excellent aural role model. http://www.usafband.com/recording.cfm
