Dear Friends and Family,
Now that we are back in the States, you would think we could send paper cards through the mail. But, 1) this is more sound environmentally, 2) a lot of you, our friends and relatives, are overseas now, with possibly the same sketchy mail situations we have had in the past, and 3) we are just not that organized yet. In fact, if you have a mailing address that has changed in the last eight years, we may not have it (but would be thrilled if you sent or e-mailed it to us.)
Well. We are indeed back in the States, enjoying a cool, crisp and beautiful Ashland Oregon winter. While none is sticking to the ground, Jeshua and I liked watching the flakes of snow falling as we soaked in the spa this morning.
We have come home to spend time closer to family, for me to finish my master's finally, and to kind of just take a year off from teaching. Arlee is finally having a chance to do a little bit of writing, Jeshua is thriving in a great school (he's in first grade now!) But, the big news this year in our immediate family is it's pending expansion. We were thrilled and surprised when Arlee's jet lag that wouldn't go away this summer turned out to be a pregnancy! She is now done with morning sickness; the ultrasound and all other indications show a healthy wonderful baby boy due in early March.
We have a beautiful little house in a fantastic town, and a guest bedroom--if you are in or around Southern Oregon--come on by! We hope the season finds you with blessings as rich and wonderful as those we've received.
