Expected images: these are the camels we see on the way to work.

Un expected images: a lot of rain and flooding in November. I thought this was a desert!

On Thanksgiving weekend, we took a trip to the beach with neighbors Mary, Siena and Gabriel.

In orrder to be respectful of the local culture, the women must wear abayas (bikinis would be completely out of the question). At least it minimizes the sunburn.
